Château de Planchevienne offers an incredibly unique and special location for weddings, birthday parties, family gatherings, corporate events etc.

The former 17th century shed on the property – which used to be the luxurious stable for the numerous horses owned by the baron of the castle – has been completely renovated and transformed into an exclusive ballroom, called ‘Les Ecuries’.

During the restoration and repurposing, the aim was to preserve all the authentic elements, such as the Burgundy ramparts, the beautiful wooden beams, the walls with ‘pierres apparentes’ and centuries-old trusses (which are lit up at night), which has helped to determine the unique cachet of the party location.

‘Les Ecuries’ comprises several interconnected rooms, an impressive entrance hall (open all the way to the top), a fully professional equipped kitchen (including ovens, stainless steel worktops, plug-in place for catering trolleys etc.), all the necessary sanitary provisions (men/women/disabled persons), cloakroom, etc.

The outside of the barn is surrounded by impressive green parterres of hydrangea and boxwood, as well as of a spacious terrace, on which large parasols are available.

There is also a car park in front of the property which offers enough space for all the guests to park.

At nightfall, the ballroom, the terraces, the park and the castle are all lit up to ensure an unforgettable party.

The ‘Les Ecuries’ ballroom has a capacity for celebrations from 30 up to 300 people.

For smaller, more peaceful festive meals or meetings, we offer the possibility of renting the castle privately (up to max. 25 p.p.) or the 'Orangerie de la Ferme de Planchevienne (max 20 pers)' - see website ‘la Ferme de Planchevienne’.

No specific service providers are imposed by the property. If you rent the ballroom or the castle, you are free to choose the partners you want to work with (caterer, DJ, florist, decorator, photographer etc.). Naturally, for all possible aspects of your party, we can provide you with a list of contacts and references of service providers who know our property and are used to organising celebrations and events here.

The castle offers accommodation for you and your guests for up to 18 people (7 double rooms for 2 people and 1 family room for 4 people).

The renovated farmhouse on the property, ‘La Ferme de Planchevienne’, offers an additional accommodation option for 8 people on the property itself (4 rooms) – see website of ‘la Ferme de Planchevienne’.

There are also 3 hotels within 1 km of the property that have ample capacity to accommodate your other guests. If desired, a shuttle taxi service can be used to transport guests to and from the hotels.
